Jairus Aquino: more than just a charming little kid

Former Kung Fu Kids star Jairus Aquino is without a doubt one of the most bankable child stars of his generation. Prior to his stint as the feisty Lembot of the said kiddie series, he was already tagged as the “Pambansang best friend ng Pilipinas” because of his role as Pareng Jomar in Super Inggo which starred Makisig Morales. He also appeared in other primetime series such as Rounin, Lastikman, and Ysabella where he was cast as the young Mythos, Eskappar, and Andrew/Albert, respectively. After taking a break from the limelight for several months, this nine-year old is ready to charm millions of viewers once more as part of the cast of his idol Ryan Agoncillo’s afternoon drama, Pieta. Aside from the fact that he looks up to Ryan for his fantastic stunts, Jairus is thrilled to work with him because they often goof around on the set.

But when the cameras are rolling, Jairus knows the importance of knowing how to play with his emotions to portray his character well. A Grade 3 student at AngelicumCollege, Jairus is taking up a home study program for him to be able to balance his schedule at work and school.

Nakikiramdam muna ako bago sobrang nakikipag-usap,” he shares. Though he exudes a passion for his craft even at such an early age, Jairus also takes time to play and to spend quality time with his family. Catch Jairus Aquino in Pieta, weekdays, right after Wowowee.
